FrontierMind uses expert assessment appropriate to the publication type. Authored books may be externally reviewed; edited volumes combine Book Editor responsibility with independent assessment where required. Reviewers must preserve confidentiality, declare conflicts, assess only within their competence and avoid using privileged manuscript information for personal advantage.

Reviewer reports should be evidence-based, respectful and sufficiently specific to support editorial decisions and author revision.
