AvenSci Publishing is an independent scientific publisher dedicated to high-quality scholarly books and research-led publications. We work with researchers, authors, academic editors and scientific communities to transform robust scholarship into publications that are clear, discoverable, durable and useful.

Our programme includes authored books and monographs, edited books, individual scholarly chapters, theses and dissertations, conference proceedings, abstract books, book series and special or thematic volumes.

Our mission is to support the responsible communication of scientific knowledge through rigorous editorial assessment, appropriate peer review, professional production and modern digital dissemination. We aim to combine the standards expected of scholarly publishing with efficient workflows and direct relationships with authors, editors and readers.

Our publishing principles

• Scientific integrity: editorial decisions should be based on scholarly quality, relevance and integrity.
• Editorial independence: commercial considerations must not determine academic decisions.
• Transparency: authors and editors should understand the applicable workflow, responsibilities, fees and access model before publication.
• Discoverability: publications are prepared with structured metadata, persistent identifiers where applicable and search-engine-friendly scholarly pages.
• Accessibility: we progressively develop accessible PDF, EPUB 3 and HTML publication formats.
• Choice of access: eligible projects may be published through open-access or commercial models, depending on the publication agreement.

A digital-first publishing ecosystem

AvenSci Publishing is designed around an integrated editorial and production workflow. Accepted projects move from editorial management to professional production, multiformat publication and secure delivery to the public platform. Books and chapters can be presented as complete scholarly objects with their own metadata, identifiers, abstracts, authorship and access conditions.

Working with the research community

We welcome proposals from researchers and academic editors whose projects fit our scientific scope and quality standards. Every proposal is assessed before a publishing commitment is made. Publication is never guaranteed solely by submission or payment.
